Hi guys,

I know,I haven’t posted anything on this space in over a month…I AM SORRY.  I hope to, soon be able to post something as frequently as I would like. 🙂 .  Nevertheless,I have something for you guys today.

I wrote this for my church’s Youth week,it held between the 24th and 30th of April. It was meant to be a spoken word presentation, but I was unable to render it because I  failed to get it ready early enough or rather,I communicated that it would not be ready in time for the grand finale. It infact was,but I had already conveyed a contrary message. MY TORI DON DEY LONG(my story is getting long). ENJOY,though written not spoken.

They say pride comes before a fall,

But that is not all,

Lest you say, he who is down fears no fall,

You should recall,

That in James 4 : 6 of the Bible,

It was said, that God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble,

Patience, while I ,my points assemble.

Resistance means to battle, to impede, it means opposition,

Now, let’s analyze your position.

Romans 8 :31,

If God be for you, who can be against you?

And conversely, if God be against you, who can be for you?

If God resists you, then it will mean that he isn’t for you…

So deductively, pride pitches God against you.

This should tell you one, if not a million things,

That pride is one, if not the greatest of all sins…

And before you say that all have sinned and come short of God’s glory,

Romans 3:23,

There is a Romans 6 :23,

For the wages of sin is death,

For the wages of sin is death,

Romans 6 :23,

Hope you are understanding the trajectory?

But who am I to tell you about sin,

When I am redolent with sin;

As a book with ink,

And in the ocean of sin, I equally sink,

Nevertheless, please think.

While thinking, you might think,

I am not infected with this deadly epidemic;

Called pride,

A discourse on that will be purely academic,

And you will take it for a ride,

When all you should be taking is heed…

Take heed unto thyself, lest you fall,

Take heed unto thyself, lest you fall.

A word they say is enough for the wise,

But if you want to hear it multiple times,

Give the Bible a call,

And it would remind you, that pride comes before a fall,

But that is…still not all,

Romans 6 :23,

For the wages of sin is death…

And pride is the father of all sins,

Thus, the wages of pride is death.

THANK YOU. :* :*
